We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Clerk for the Maintenance Department in its envelope manufacturing facility in Smyrna, GA.

Job Summary Maintains accurate inventory of parts and supplies ensuring that parts are readily available for the repair of production machinery and the facility.
May be required to make parts or to recondition used parts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities ( Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with/without reasonable accommodation.
Receives orders of needed parts and supplies from plant personnel or from inventory tracking systems, and places orders to obtain these materials.
Unpacks supplies to store items on, or in, shelves, bins and cabinets.
Issues Purchase Orders (PO's), and receives shipments into purchasing and inventory tracking systems.
Maintains inventory records of all parts room items including safety supplies.
Maintains organization and housekeeping in the storeroom.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title.
However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a Reasonable Accommodation under the ADA.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements High School diploma required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience including basic knowledge of purchasing and industrial maintenance.
Solid computer and math skills; Inventory knowledge and experience.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Requires ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments, functional areas, and vendors.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Requires regularly standing, walking, carrying, climbing, and reaching.
Frequently required to reach, bend and stoop to store and retrieve parts.

Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance.
Consistent attendance and low absenteeism is absolutely required.
