Certified Dietary Manager/Cook The Cambridge Smyrna, GA Nature and scope The Certified Dietary Manager/Cook is responsible for planning, scheduling and supervising, disciplining, evaluating, directing the work of the dietary team members and ensuring sanitation in accordance with health department regulations.
Minimum eligibility requirements Certified Dietary Manager Certification and a HS graduate degree or equivalent to; and two (2) years of supervisory experience in food service operations in health care industries.
One (1) year supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling.
Maintains current Certification in Nutrition satisfying requirements from local, state and federal agencies.
Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
Competent in organization and time management skills.
Knowledge of DHSR Dietary regulations preferred.
Serve Safe certified preferred.
Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential functions Assures staff education is provided to dietary team members in accordance with the staff education plans, plus provides on the job training for staff members including but not limited to dietary and nursing.
Developing work assignments for all dietary team members assigning specific jobs and spot checking work to ensure standards are met Responsible for supervising, assigning duties and tasks while responsibly directing the work of all food service department employees with full accountability of dining services department.
Ensure equipment is maintained and work areas are clean, safe and orderly.
Strictly adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety and sanitation, promptly addressing any noncompliance.
Response for all food supply orders, ensure food costs are within budgetary constraints.
Interview, hire and orient new staff members.
Communicate and enforce policies and procedures including the employers policies and procedures dealing with rules of employee conduct, the employers safety and sanitation policies and other human resource policies, and directly discipline and effectively recommend corrective and disciplinary action to enforce such policies.
Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
Plan Community and individual resident menus as ordered by the primary care provider in coordination with the company 's staff and with medical staff if necessary.
Residents rights Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents rights.
Other Must be familiar with community Disaster Preparedness Plan as it relates to food and water requirements.
Follow and communicate company policies and procedures.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
